Church Leadership

My name is Jorge Reynaga, and I serve as the Pastor here at Templo Bautista. I first joined this church in 1987 and began my ministry service in 1989 as a Sunday School Teacher. After years of dedicated service, I stepping into the role of Pastor in 1995. In addition to my role as Pastor, I also lead our Wednesday Night Study.

My journey of faith began on October 27, 1987, when I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. To prepare for the calling God placed on my life, I attended the Baptist Seminary in San Antonio to deepen my scriptural foundation, graduating in XXXX.

My greatest joy in ministry is seeing people come to Jesus and watching their lives change, because I know firsthand the power of what God changed in me.

When I’m not at the church or studying the Word, I love to go fishing. There is nothing quite like being out on the water and enjoying the peace of God’s creation.

My name is Gilberto Rodriguez. I have been a part of Templo Bautista since 2004, and I stepped into the role of serving starting in 2017. Today, I serve as a Deacon. Some of my other positions include a Preacher, Sunday School Teacher, Maintenance Assistant, Prayer Service Assistant, and Spanish Men’s Ministry Assistant.

My motivation to serve was born from a simple observation: a pastor moving chairs in an empty room. Seeing a leader work alone when there was a clear need for help changed my perspective on ministry. It taught me that service isn’t just about showing up, it’s about seeing a gap and choosing to fill it. That moment of clarity is what continues to drive my heart for service today.

My service is a direct overflow of a grateful heart. Having experienced God’s transformative power firsthand, I view every opportunity to help others as a way to honor the grace He has so freely given me.

When I’m not at the church, I have a real love for soccer. I used to spend a lot of my time playing the game myself, and it’s still a sport that I enjoy today.

My name is Francisco Medrano. I have been a part of Templo Bautista since 2017, and I began my journey of service here in 2019. I currently serve as a Deacon and hold the roles of Preacher, Prayer Service Director, and Spanish Men’s Ministry Director.

My walk with Christ began in 1994 when I first accepted Jesus as my Savior. This commitment was followed by my baptism in 1995, marking the start of a lifelong pursuit of faith. To deepen my understanding of the Word and better serve the body of Christ, I later dedicated myself to the formal study of Theology, blending my heart for service with a solid scriptural foundation.

Driven by a heart of gratitude and a love for people, I seek to honor Christ by serving His church. I believe that helping others is the most natural response to the work Jesus has performed in my own soul.

In my free time, I’m a big soccer fan. There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down to watch a good game, especially when I get to cheer on Cruz Azul.

My name is Alex Reynaga. I’ve been a part of Templo Bautista since 1987, and I started my journey of service in 2004. Currently, I serve as a Deacon. Some other positions I serve in is as a Preacher, Youth Director, Music Director, English Marriages Director, and Co-Director of the English Men’s Ministry.

I was born and raised in the church, but my faith became my own at the age of 14 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and was baptized. I started my service on the worship team for many years. After COVID, God gave me a vision to re-start an English service; shortly after that, I began to serve the congregation through preaching.

I’m motivated by two things: my gratitude for how Jesus changed my life, and my desire to see other people grow closer to Him.

Outside of ministry, I’m a huge basketball fan—especially of the Houston Rockets! Whether it’s playing or watching, basketball is a big part of what I enjoy.

My name is Alexis Perez. I have been a part of Templo Bautista since 2002 and began my journey of service in 2011. Today, I serve as a Deacon and contribute to our ministry as a Preacher, Young Adults Director, Assistant Music Director, and Co-Director of the English Men’s Ministry.

I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was 13 years old at a youth conference. Since then, I’ve seen Him completely transform my life. I used to be a very quiet and timid person, but God has changed me into a servant who is now confident standing up front and preaching His Word.

I serve because of how much God has changed me. I have a heart for helping people who remind me of who I used to be, showing them the same hope and transformation that I found.

In my free time, I have a passion for music and love the challenge of playing and learning new instruments. I’m always looking for new ways to express my creativity through sound.
